~Track & Field Games A few quick tips. þ Most of these games demand a lot of button bashing, so go down the local car boot sale, bargain shop and get yourself a crap joystick/joypad that has very responsive and good feel buttons. (Playstation users why not buy a Cyberpad for 16 quid from the Cheet Sheets Mail Order service) þ For most field events the angle of the throw and jumps are usually about 45 degrees, but experiment at other angles as you'll find you might get a better distance (especially on the Discus, where this angle is lower !). þ Try different methods of pressing the buttons, I found for speed the TWO fingers on one hand was best, but for power (eg. run ups) the TWO fingers on both hands was best. Also changing the button configuration is sometimes a good way of getting extra speed. Also try various seating postions, eg. rest joypad on leg, lie down on bed with joypad firmly positioned on summit, crouch down on floor with joypad resting on solid surface, anything worth a try if you need to break a few World Records !!!
